These are the original Elf-Cam underwater video housing plans which are designed to fit the older style of camcorder inside a 6 inch diameter housing. The body is made from PVC pipe or Acrylic tubing and the latches used are compression latches from Nielsen Sessions.  These latches can be purchased through this website or from McMaster-Carr.  The easy to follow instructions detail the construction using readily obtainable materials in most towns across the country.   Some parts like the latches can be ordered on-line or purchased at a dive shop, however that is the only part which may not be easily located locally.  The design is for a "record the entire dive" whereby the camera is turned on before the dive - records the entire dive, then shut off once out of the water.  This eliminates the need for holes to be drilled into the body and eliminates potential leak points.  An inexpensive design great for divers who want to start filming their underwater adventures.
