DIVE LIGHT PLANS
Similar to the slug-light, the Elf-Light - scuba dive light plans show how to make a 12 volt underwater dive light which uses either a MR11 or MR16 bulb. Here the builder has the choice of using a bulb between 20 and 50 watts. The canister design can also be used to install a HID light and NIMH batteries*. This light head is also great for installing one of those new 12 volt LED MR16 bulbs with awesome white light which can be found on ebay. Almost all of the parts can be purchased at your local Home Depot, and only a few need to either be purchased at a dive shop or on-line. Using much the same design as the slug light, this is the easiest and least expensive scuba dive light to build using our plans and it makes a great project for the underwater DIY enthusiast. *Information not included in these plans.
